Infographics

Using a major design element of last year's publication — circles — I designed an infographic that presents information in a unique way.

By utilizing different orientations of numbers, white space and linear design, I created a clean infographic that displays information in a comprehensible way.

After compiling information on a missing person for weeks, I created a timeline that effectively gets the information across to the reader.

In this infographic on the 2016 presidential election, I used different methods of data presentation. Also, the red and blue colors correspond with the information provided — blue representing Democrats and red representing Republicans.

Using a bar graph, I presented simple statistics in an easily readable format.

After compiling information from seven different sources, I presented my sources' quotes in a straightforward layout that effectively displays the information.

For each sport, I provided different blocks of content while keeping a few elements from each row consistent. Although there is a lot of information on this infographic, I arranged it so that the reader would encounter something new with each row.

Illustrations

This illustration received a lot of response from our school community because it effectively portrays word association in the context of a certain culture at the school: St. Mark's lacrosse — or smlax.

This photo-illustration corresponds well with the contents of the story. By gathering snapshots of how social media plays a role in our athletes' lives, I drew an illustration that visually presents the basis of the story.

For this illustration, I wanted to provide a sense of disarray within our athletic conference by drawing a crumbled tournament bracket that interacts with the headline.
