One of my favorite aspects of telling stories is the presentation. I have always firmly believed that if the package isn't aesthetically pleasing, then the reader will not engage with the story. The presentation of the package is what I like to call the reader's "first impression," and I have dedicated a lot of time to understanding how and when to utilize design elements such as dominance, flow, alignment and unity. The ReMarker and Focus Magazine are design-heavy productions, and that's why the visual presentation of a story is always on my mind when I am working on my stories.
